What is “SIDE AFFECTS”?

The two words are a powerful combination that describes the pride and love for the beautiful city of Seaside.

Seaside is often referred to as “The Side” by young adult locals. As much as people think of it as slang, those who were raised in Seaside know how neighboring cities like to look down on Seaside and push the city to the side, hence the name “The Side”. From that constant wall of rejection and unacceptance Seasidians embodied the negativity and used it as fuel to rise above and be noticed.

Seaside raised barber, George, has branded himself under the stage name “The Geo Affect”. The name comes from an overall impact he strives to share with people and clients after any encounter. As affection comes in many forms, George’s integrity and genuine presence is one of a kind. Many of his clients often return not only for the haircuts but for the great positive energy he spreads.

E.J. and Orlando have had the great blessing to travel the world due to their exceptional basketball skills. Although they are often many hours away from their hometown of Seaside, they never miss an opportunity to educate someone on where they come from. So much so, that they are responsible for many countless acts of giving back to a community that admires them beyond their accomplishments.

With so much pride and love for home and the unique art of barbering, the name SIDE AFFECTS was born. Dedicated to keeping the special city of Seaside elevated and respected, George, E.J., & Orlando are living reflections of Side Affects.
